Spring in the Niagara Region is a season of transition. While we’re all itching to get the boat out on the water, it’s also the most critical time of year for your home. Whether you’re prepping for a weekend at Jordan Harbour or prepping your home for the spring market, a little "tackle box maintenance" goes a long way.
The Gear Check (Fishing)
Fresh Line is Non-Negotiable: Check your reels for "memory" or nicks. Replacing your monofilament or braid now prevents that "heartbreak at the net" later.
Lube the Bearings: A quick drop of oil on your Shimano reels ensures a smooth cast when the bite is on.
Sharpen the Hooks: Dull hooks lose fish. A five-second file job can be the difference between a story and a trophy photo.
The Curb Appeal Check (Real Estate)
The "Foundation" of Success: Just like checking your line, walk the perimeter of your home. Look for new cracks or "heaving" caused by the winter thaw.
